How It Started

The One-Way Ticket That Started It All

Yep! I packed my bags and left Latin America (hence the impossible-to-pronounce last name) to pursue my studies in the U.S. After bouncing around a few states, getting a crash course in American culture, and picking up some new lingo, I landed at the University of Miami, where I earned my degree in Finance and Marketing and discovered just how much I love blending business with creativity.

Education

University of Miami (2020 Grad)
BBA, Finance and Marketing

Experience

Over five years in marketing roles with leading brands.

My Current Life

How I Got Here

Short Answer:

Oof. After countless hours—both on the clock and in my spare time.

Long Answer:

I’ve worked with two amazing companies that taught me a lot about marketing—and myself. Read below.

The "Alma Mater" Company

I kicked off my career at this advertising start-up in Miami. Ever heard of floating billboards? This company created them. Starting as an intern and first employee, I worked my way up to Marketing Manager. With an incredible mentor by my side, I went from learning design and campaign creation to managing people and conducting in-depth market research. I was lucky enough to watch the company grow into the biggest water-based advertising company in the U.S. Who are they you may ask? Let me introduce you to Ballyhoo Media.

A Proud Break

After 3 wonderful years there, it was time for a change and new challenges. I enrolled in digital marketing courses and experimented with everything in the digital marketing space, Sometimes you have to take a step back to take two forward.

My Last Role

At my second company, I directed the Marketing Department, which meant I got to take full ownership of all marketing projects. I led rebranding initiatives, launched creative campaigns, directed branded content creation, fully revamped the company's website, trained new employees, and managed a real marketing budget for some serious "big girl" stuff.

My Future

How I (think) I Will Get "There"

If I’m being honest, this vision changes daily. But at the core, I’m excited to take on new challenges. Ones where I get to have a voice and put more of my ideas out into the world. I’m talking about roles where I could see my work in a Super Bowl ad, watch my experiential campaign unfold in the middle of New York City, or help brands create strategies that tackle the "How do I get people to care about my brand?" million- dollar question.

Above all, I want to work with people who inspire me, challenge me, and value my perspective.

My Approach

Stay curious, stay collaborative, and stay open. Whether it’s for a big campaign or a small but promising initiative.

What Inspires Me

Simple moments in everyday life, the latest trends in culture, other people's motivation, art, and sports.

(Cause it ain't all about work!)

Travel

As a good immigrant, I think travel is one of the best ways to broaden your horizons and discover new ideas. Seeing how people live, behave, and communicate in different cultures is like real-world "market research"... I should consider writing these trips off in my taxes.

Sports

I’ve always been a casual sporty girl. Sometimes more into it than others. Staying active gets my creative juices flowing, helps me clear my head on "those" days, and teaches me about mental endurance and staying open to change.

My Peeps

Like any other mid-20s girl, I try to juggle a lot at once. Whether it's for fun times or emotional support, my friends and family are what keep me grounded and make everything worth it. Whether it's a board game or a festival, I make sure to prioritize these moments!

Cleaning (for real)

I have to include this one. Like many 20-somethings, I spend a good chunk of my time managing household responsibilities. But hey, it’s all part of the routine that keeps everything in balance—and if you're a meaning-seeker like me, there’s a lesson hidden in these chores too :)
